"Dance For the King" held last May 14-15,2009. It was very rewarding and productive day for the youth because of the two-day dance tambourine tutorials that was led by Ptr.Jhong Alejandro and Vivian Garbieta,it was also voluntarily participated by some selected youths of Bread of Life Christian Church.
The tambourine is an instrument which makes a joyful noise unto the Lord and at the same time lifts up the banner as the ribbons which are attached to the tambourine are being flung into the air with the movements. There are many Scriptures which refer to praising God with the tambourine and dance. The objective is to play the tambourine skillfully and worship-fully according to Biblical guidelines, to present the tambourine as an instrument that enhances worship and that flows with other musical instruments. They taught about the origin of the tambourine, history of the tambourine, Biblical aspects of dance used together with musical instruments to worship God, the tambourine as a weapon of warfare, as a worship tool, and Scriptures that refer to the tambourine. They've also learn the meanings of the ribbons and what each color means.
